What total drivel some people post!
Then you are less of a man than I thought you to be.
Doesn't it go the other way? 5 smaller than the 4, so easier higher register?
Sad to hear of the death of Margaret Thatcher. Best Prime Minister since Churchill. We will not see her like again. A proper PM who cared for the country, unlike today's light weights.
well yes they could, but is not just aimed at the more advanced student is it. 25 years of playing in a brass band has never required me to transpose either.
I prefer the new Arban, by Pops...
Shame the pieces all stay within a safe range.
You could buy a Traps kit for around £100.
Ain't that the truth! We would still have lost, but not such a thrashing.
There was only one real shock in Wales this week end. Wales 30 England 3!
Perhaps they had Steve Walsh adjudicating?
The Art of the Drummer, although a kit book, has a lot of snare basics that may be worth a look. When I was taught the rudiments, there was around 20 of us sitting at a long wooden table. A Drummer...
A mate of mine is helping out a band in the 4th section. I asked him how it's going and his reply made me laugh. "With a bit of luck, and not too many cock ups, we might scrape into last place." :)

We all like different things, is the best answer I can give. I personally thought it was just a noise. It could have been a learner band for all I could tell from it. I want a Championship section...
Just watched Wingates on YouTube. Longest 'warm up' I've ever heard! Had the advantage of being able to turn it off by the time the shaker guy had done his lap of honour.
Why do you not include the price?
I never doubted it for a moment.
Pretty sure the one in my hand says, Claude-Michel Schonberg, arranged by Mike Forrest. Published by SJS Music, copyright 2006.
Not unless he arranges as Mike Forrest.
There is a Tenor Horn solo of Epiones Song, On My Own. Certainly doable by fourth section bands.
Dyke do 50 concerts a year. That seems pretty high profile to me.
Tried to watch it, but sound was too poor.
I stopped playing for over 10 years. Then when I moved to the countryside, my wife kept on at me to find a band. I did eventually do so, and played with them for 7 years on solo horn.
I got bored...
