But I would like one!
Maybe a symptom, but I just went onto the Kapitol site as I may go to Wales to see my sister's band. This is the information they have:
Brangwyn Hall, Swansea
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 March...
Oops. Sorry George!
I started playing at the age of 9 and could not flutter tongue or roll my Rs. I relied on the back of throat "Grrr" which was not that bad. Qualifying for the 1985 Europeans (aged 25) with "Royal...
Just remembered:
d. Trumpet stand (Chamber music so not required for two pieces). Not actually forgotten - just couldn't find it. Discovered it today in my own Trumpet case.
I recently helped out at an Orchestral job.
My friend said he'd lend me a Trumpet (as my own is rubbish).
On arriving I quickly found that I'd forgotten:

Hi Huw
Good to see you're taking it up again. Should never have stopped!
Good luck with it - any idea of where you're going to play?

A while back we did that - the "Flying V" with...

Wow - that'd be great. I could cycle to band now (but am too lazy and never have the time). I don't think I'd be sat there on my own either.
I used to play pieces in reharsal using only the " k, g, ga" articulation. If nobody notices your doing OK!
"moving 2nd cornet parts on the the front row etc is wrong on all levels" - we've been moving Front row parts onto the 3rd Cornet. Is that OK?
Sun Life also played it at their reunion concert last year. A (non-commercial) recording was made and when it is available I'm sure, as you're a local, a copy could be made available.
The CD...
Can we have a thread per test piece now, please?
Four of them are not really relevant to me at the current time.

Danny Winders last job with Filton!
I still say make them all sight read the piece on the day. I guess a No. 1 draw would be even more of a disadvantage?
"Filton (runners-up)"
"English Champions" we like to say!
I'll be 18,141 years old, so doubt it.
