If organised, would the members of this forum be Roy on taking part in a slow melody/air varie competition?

My initial idea is to devolve the contest, holding regional competitions, possibly at large bandrooms/church halls etc. then inviting the winner from each region to compete in a grand final, possibly at the tMP Dinner?

I'd like it to be accessable to all, so envisage having just one section, but numerous prizes.

Shown enough interest from you fine folk, I'll sort it.

Up to you.....

Sounds like a great idea, particularly to those of us who are SA bands-persons.

Could people who have been given national awards in the last year be put in a separate group (at least in the midlands)... I want to stand a chance!

I'm definitely up for it as long as, in true tMP fashion, we can reintroduce the CiN pink hat (I was looking at my photos the other day!) and silly award categories!

Bagsy the "recovering from injury and got no lip" award please!

I wouldn't mind having a go. I could dig out some of my old solos.

Now, where is that Rocked in the Cradle? ;)

I'd be up for it, if you did regional sections first.

How about age groups though. At least an under 18s group.

I just had a thought - it says "National" up there and I won't be in the UK for much longer - will I and all the other non-UK people be allowed to enter? :(

Good question! And how would we go about it? Sending a recording? World tour? ;) I could probably work out how to email a didgital video of a few performances from down here.

I'm waiting to hear back from the team....
I don't really see the point in breaking up the day into more sections than a lunch and two breaks.
I anticipate having 18- prizes though as well as youngest player and some others...
Ball in mod corner......fongers crissesd
