hello there, have you got a recording of Call of the Sea by Eric Ball in your collection? cheers shaz

Sorry Shaz, I have tried to locate it using the following methods but to no avail: -

The reference book, Music On Record 1 Brass Bands edited by Peter Gammond and Raymond Horricks lists contents of LP's and also has a section for composers. Under composer, Eric Ball, many of his pieces are cross-referenced to records, by label and number, but no trace of "The Call of the Sea".

I looked at about 200 record sleeves from my collection, with appropriate titles such as The music of Eric Ball" etc., but still no trace.

Unfortunately, to look at every record sleeve from my entire collection would probably take a week non-stop!

If I do find it, then of course I will let you know.
