Who is the nicest moderator ......... this could be funny! :D

I think I am right that in Shakespeare's day to describe someone as "nice" was counted as something of an insult. Therefore I think I'd better not commit myself, or I could find myself excommunicated by one or more of those wonderful, perfect, tremendous, fantastic, stupendous, (enough creeping yet?) doyens of our forum!

Straightmute, I was thinking the same thing... didn't the young 'uns do well?

Saints got 2 soft tries through Darren Albert (what's all the fuss about with him? Most of the Wigan forwards are faster than him!), then Wigan blow Saints out of the water with fantastic defence, fantastic attack (for the third quarter, it was like they could break the line at will!) and with some gutsy tackling and running, they proved who were the better team on the day.

Bradford won, so the other half's got two reasons to be happy... Saints lose and Bradford won.

Is that 4 losses in a row for Saint's now... ;-)

neiltwist
20.04.2003, 15:53
believe me, it's not a good time to be a saints fan. but it wasn't quite like you said it. your young uns did amazing though. darren albert was the fastest man on the pitch(!), but like the rest of the team, he just played badly. all our side are knackered and demoralised after the leeds match: 100 minutes of rugby is tough. The young wigan lads were fresh and played outstandingly well, that tipped the match in wigans favour. but remember, you only won the match by 2 points! people keep telling saints how good they are, it obviously went to their head!

here's the score timings

7 mins Wigan 0-2 St Helens - Sculthorpe Goal
11 mins Wigan 0-6 St Helens - Albert Try
17 mins Wigan 4-6 St Helens - Newton Try
17 mins Wigan 6-6 St Helens - Tickle Goal
19 mins Wigan 6-10 St Helens - Higham Try
19 mins Wigan 6-12 St Helens - Sculthorpe Goal
28 mins Wigan 6-16 St Helens - Hooper Try
28 mins Wigan 6-18 St Helens - Sculthorpe Goal
35 mins Wigan 10-18 St Helens - Tickle Try
37 mins Wigan 12-18 St Helens - Tickle Goal
39 mins Wigan 12-22 St Helens - Albert Try

HT Wigan 12-22 St Helens

47 mins Wigan 16-22 St Helens - Briscoe Try
48 mins Wigan 18-22 St Helens - Tickle Goal
52 mins Wigan 20-22 St Helens - Tickle Goal
58 mins Wigan 24-22 St Helens - Newton Try

Well, it's gotta be Fishsta since he was instrumental (Paynism) in getting me in touch with my band.
If it's any consolation I feel really really bad about not voting for the others and in fact Fishsta is the only one I've never met in person.
I'm going to take my guilt and lock myself in the wardrobe until I'm a fit person to come out again.
