View Full Version : The mouthpiece age range?

After trying unsuccessfully to merge the two threads I have added a poll to Elin's original thread. Hope you don't mind Elin! Rachel

It is funny how you assume people to be of a certain age on here. Originally I thought the likes of homocidalbennyboy and nadia were quite old but apparently that ain't the case. So it would be interesting to reveal our true ages and gender, I think that most of us are quite youthful!

Me first........

TWIGGLET FEMALE 19

I think some might be suprising!

My avatar is hopefully deceiving, I have had all the 'stick' 'branch' jokes but never been told I look like a tree! I would put a photo on but technology like that baffles me, I wouldn't have a clue how!

As for Roger's age you are all pretty close! and some of you are obviously just sucking up (between 38 and 40    !)

OK, my age is really 23. Though some people say I act like I'm 40.

Must be something to do with the fact that I detest mobile phones and refuse to own one, the music I like (Queen) and that I like to go to Cornwall on holiday.

That all seems very normal to me. Am I really old before my time?

Roger Thorne
16.03.2003, 18:52

It is clear that some have been posting messages without responding to the poll question, as it still only shows one in the 46+ category, and there seem to be a few of us owning up to approaching the half-century very fast! Still, I am sure we can still show these youngsters a thing or two, if they don't pension us off.

Why is it so bad to go off topic? I come on here for a bit of fun and a laugh and that involves having a joke with some of my friends that I don't see for months on end (living like I do on this side of the wall). It wasn't as if I was going to monopolise the thread by talking about a wet patch on my bum at pontins last year, even I couldn't make a conversation out of that!

We were finished, just a bit of banter.

I am 94! I wish I had problems with hair, let alone its colour. Can anyone help me to sell my ophicleide and serpent? I've just been given a new fangled instrument. They tell me it's a Bass Trombone pitched in G?-----whatever that means. So far I've had to have a nap to recover after picking it up----I'll never get used to it!? They tell me it has 7 positions. The only two I've managed so far have been 'recumbent' and 'prone'.
It doesn't help being left handed;but at least I have another 'stick' to use if I mislay my two old trusty 'faithfuls'.

God I feel old looking down some of this list!! I'm now 31 years 8 months and 5 days old.. Mind you that's not as bad as my Dad feels when I remind him I am his youngest!!

I do try and make up for it though by thinking and usually acting like a crazy mixed up kid, balancing on the knife-edge of society, with intergalactic space ships buzzing round my head!

don't worry! i just put my band uniform on because i've got a gig this afternoon and haven't got time to come home from church before i go. normally this doesn't bother me in the slightest, but because of the heat and the mood i'm in, i've not put my tie on yet and my shirt's untucked, meaning i feel like a schoolgirl, despite being 19! what doesn't help the fact is i have a plaster on my knee like i've just fallen over in the playground!! :S

I am still in there (just) getting closer to the outer limits of that age bracket and at an alarming rate. In case I haven't already answered(can't be bothered to go back through all the posts) I became/achieved/sufferd 32 years old on 16th July.
