Only that The Deep was written for EYMS, but I've not played it, as it was before my time! But that is all explained in the 4BR article. :D

...Any predictions for the first section lol!!! :P
YWDB have played, and come 2nd with A London Overture.
Lots of Cadenzas in the middle and a very fast vivo at the end. Written (near enough) in Ternary Form (ABA). With B being really fast, loud and flying fingers time.
It's a great piece.
Never heard of The Deep Before. Sounds like a Horror Movie! :O

Does anyone know who's entered yet?
How much does it cost to stay there?

a very fast vivo at the end
I do believe it is a presto, but that's just being picky!
flying fingers time.
You can say that again!
We'll be there (don't think we've decided finally yet though)
Thanks for that

As I understand it, it was written for the opening of the UK's first and only submarium which is in my 'adopted' home of Hull (well, I'm there about half the week). It's premiere was given by EYMS.
It sits on the confluence of the Rivers Hull and Humber, at a place called Sammy's Point.
I've never played the piece, but if it's anything like the building itself................

London Overture: I have played that piece so many times. Slow movement is nice, though a bad band will blow really loud to disguise the fact that they can`t play the difficult passages.
Good BBb Bass part. :)

Well we ran 'The Deep' all the way through no so long ago and after conducting it I can safely say it belongs exactly as the title suggests! Locked 'Deep' in the bottom of your library store. It even has the cheek to include 'For those in peril' in the last movement. Who on earth is in charge of picking these pieces?

Is it me or are all the chalets in Pontins booked up already? Just tried checking it but no luck. Anyone else with the same problem or do they just not want me there after last year? :-P
think most chalets are reserved for the bands who are going nick.. try booking through a band that is going.. or wait a few months and there might be some chalets knocking around that were reserved from bands, but they are not staying over.
