The results on all sections out...
Stavanger Brass Band and David King get the title for the top section...

I look very much forward to the release of the Norwegian 2004 cd, always great cd's of great music. David King just shows he's a class above the rest when it comes to leading a contest band.
Wow...4th section champs played Variations on a Ninth....bold choice! :?

Interesting to see the choice of SA pieces amongst the test pieces, with two section winners playing Les Condon's "The Present Age". "Festivity" was also used, which featured in the recent thread on SA music, together with Kevin Norbury's "Partita" (2 bands), Andrew Mackereth's "Millennium Flourishes" (in the 4th section!) and Edward Gregson's "Variations on Laudate Dominum".
Congratulations Dave King....you're a hero!

Stavanger was absolutely brilliant when they visited the States last year. Far and away, they deserved their win of the NABBA Championship Section.
