'Brass for Africa 2 - A Musical Spectacular' is an all-star event featuring the amazing Brass Band Aid Celebrity Band (conducted by Dr Stephen Cobb) and world class soloists. The event will be held on Saturday 9th April at The Salvation Army in Kettering, Northants.

This year, the event will be recorded by Chorum Records. All proceeds from the CD and the event will go to Chikankata Hospital and John Laing Clinic & Community School, Zambia.

Chorum Records will be waiving their fee for this charitable cause (charity no. 214779). CDs will cost 10, over half of which will benefit the Zambian projects. Pre-ordering has now opened.

Confirmed soloists are: Chris Thomas (trombone), David Thornton (euphonium), Glyn Williams (euphonium), Helen Williams (flugel horn), Katrina Marzella (baritone), Owen Farr (tenor horn) and Steve Sykes (tuba) as well as vocal soloist, former BBC 2 Choirgirl of the Year Lucy Rhodes.

CDs can be pre-ordered with a credit or debit card. Phone: 01902 743565 or 07968 779008.

Where can tickets be obtained for this?

Tickets are going well - a third of the capacity already sold and well up on the first Brass for Africa, which was a sellout.

To answer your question, tickets are available from Andrew Wainwright: brassforafrica2@hotmail.com

And don't forget there's the pro workshop on the afternoon of 9 April, before the concert!

See you there!

Brass for Africa 2 was a fantastic success! We recorded it all at 24/96 and a CD will be appearing shortly, price 10 including postage, all proceeds going to charity.

There will hopefully be other Brass for Africa events but this particular line-up and programme is unlikely ever to be repeated. Order your copy now and benefit people living in complete poverty.

You can order with a card by calling 01902 743565, or email info@chorum.co.uk with your number and we'll get back to you.
