I see that Geoff Hawley, the well known Eb Soprano player and the conductor of The Matlock Band is to enter Derby Royal Hospital on Wednesday 15th September 2010 to have a gastric operation, may I wish him well, as I am sure do all that are on the Mouthpiece.

Good news ....... Geoff is out of hospital and feeling rather sore in parts, went to see him on Thursday afternoon and he was in good spirits. I asked how does he feel within himself ~~~~ reply ~ hope to be at band rehearsal on Monday ----------- typical Mr. Hawley ---------
