I was surprised that WEM weren't top 3. It was a cracking performance!

Congratulations to Daventry, Audley and Carlton on your success at the Areas. Lets hope that one of you can bring the National Trophy back to the Midlands.
We were chuffed to bits with our result - as you say this is the first time that we've competed in the 3rd section so to come away with 4th prize is very encouraging.
Have you seen the full results on 4BarsRest? Having heard the majority of bands there today I'm a bit surprised at some of the other placings. :?
It would be interesting to hear some comments on that issue!
Once again congratulations to the three winners.

Well done to Roger and everyone in Wem Band :tup
Can I say that though I have never played or conducted with Roger, if he conducts Wem with anywhere near the same amount of energy, enthusiasm and commitment he uses here on theMouthPiece.com - then it's no wonder they did so well 1st time out in 3rd section.
Congrats to you Roger, and to everyone in Wem band, you deserve it. :D

yeah congratulations to the top 3!
I heard about 10 of the bands and I don't think the results were tremedously far out. I agree with the bottom 6 bands but I had Syston down as in the prizes and think that West Mercia should have got a slightly higher placing. Then again I did miss 2/3 of the placed bands so it is difficult to comment!
Well done Roger, as i said earlier I heard half your performance through the closed door! I was gonna ask for a glass to listen but I thought people might have thought I was crazy!!
