Daft Question re Outlook

This is probably a really daft question. I have a hotmail account and my friend has bee trying to set me up with a blue yonder account using outlook.I can send messages but not receive them.Am sure it's something silly but am tearing my hair out trying to think what. If anyone is able to help in anyway,however small I would be really grateful

HI, you need some information like the pop3 (outgoing) and smtp (incoming) addreses along with your username and password for blueyonder. Maybe the smtp needs auth in it? So many blue yonder addresses were pirated when cable was overtaken by Virgin that it may be that you need authorisation of the account for your outgoing mail to work.

If you have blue yonder, shouldn't you be using a virgin address by now?
