In a similar vein to a recent thread started while I was sunning myself in Jamaica, my very good mate iancwilx (wilky) has set sail on a cruise for the next week or two. I thought it would be nice to surprise him on his return with a similar degree of embarrassment and pleasure?
So I would like people to suggest other alias's for the great man.
Having just had a look at Ians "player profile" I'll kick off with my starter for 10 (I have plenty more :D ) ......
Peter Sutcliffe
Believe me mods Ian has a great sense of humour and won't be offended.
Peter Sutcliffe !!!! The Yorkshire Ripper !!! You must be sick

Blossom, view Ians public profile and look at the picture.
I'm not saying he's a mass murderer  just looks similar

I know what his public profile looks like but I repeat "you must be sick" to make this suggestion in the first place.

I don't want to spoil this thread in any way, but i think Blossom has a point. Unfortunately in this very PC world we live in today some people may be offended by your 1st alias. Just bear in mind that Peter Sutcliffe's victims were from the heart of Brass Banding and there may well be relatives of the victims connected with bands, or possibly even read this forum!
As you said "Ian has a great sense of humor and won't be offended", but others might.
Perhaps a fresh starter? (seeing as you have plenty more) ;)
What was that MP called that used to advertise dog food (chum?)

No, if the general concensus is that this thread is in bad taste (I was simply refering to a visual likeness) then I would rather it was just locked. I will confine my exchanges with Ian to our regular PM's and Emails in future. I apologise once more for any offence caused.

Well I think both Ian and Steve are proper gents and regular diamonds on tmp with their many many funny posts and (occasional sensible ones).
I think they are the modern version of Eric and Ernie as I can so easily picture both of them skipping along and kicking up their heels singing "bring me sunshine...)
And even the grand Mr JP must approve as they have both done Championship so no pasting either of them please...

Well I am going to stick up for Mr B who is an excellent man behind the scenes, very kind and sensitive and who would do anything for anyone. The last thing he would ever intend is to cause any upset to anyone and he and Ian go back years and are best of friends. Yes maybe an unfortunate comparison but come on lighten up here please.

As a practising Buddhist I take great exception to you making a joke out of being a little portly. Just because you may be built like a string bean do not mock the fattys here.
p.s. Am on a diet as of today and am extremely hungry and naggy especially as Himself has ordered a curry. .
pps Am joking for those with HFD (humour failure disorder):)
ppps I like a more rotund figure on a man!!!!

Is that a question for PC Butler? eh?
He happens to be perfectly formed, dainty little feet, very well developed thighs (that have felt the soothing effect of my supple fingers on accasion), just a hint of extra flesh (not a bad thing) around his middle, and forearms like Popeye.
iancwilx aka Popeye (he used to smoke a pipe)

iancwikx aka the gorgeous one

No Rob you must have missed the charming thread about how if you have never played in a championship band then perhaps your opinions on bands count for nothing. To be fair It wasn`t started by a yorkshire man.
You are far too nice to be involved in such goings on.

So the great explorer is cruising back up the Leeds Liverpool canal after the great expedition to lands exotic and mystical.
Iancwilx aka - Walter Raleigh.
Apparently he's returned with a sack full of taties and a mountain bike!
How I look forward to (with nervous anticipation) seeing the wondrous gifts he has for me.
He did promise to bring me something "glamourous" - I hope its not a couple of taties!

Well I'm back, and I can't stop laughing - what a hilarious thread.
Mr Butler has excelled himself.
Re: Eric and Ernie, I'm definitely the shortish one as Butler is a tall skinny "Effort".
AND, Killer, you might rightly denigrate my dubious playing abilities, (Who could forget my "Tubby the Tuba?) but it was you your goodself who was the master of the ""Fast Semiquaver Technique" of hitting the first of every group and waggling tour fingers for the rest - I must admit it did work a treat on several occasions.
It is also difficult to play correctly whilst trying to fend off the guy on your left who is constantly trying to stroke your thigh !!
Also I sometimes had trouble following the baton as I couldn't see it for the daylight reflecting into my eyes off your naked scalp in front of me.
I learnt many tricks and scams from you Killer old boy for which I am grateful !
I have brought back Mr Butler a present of a souvenier antique thumbscrew from a medieval Spanish Inquisition Torture Chamber.
I am sure his inventive mind will enable him to have many happy hours of excrutiating pain if applied to the more daring and imaginative areas of the nether regions.
It adds a whole new perspective to the word "Screw"
It's good to be back in the Mad, Mad, World of tmp's finest.
