By way of an introduction, could you please tell us a little about yourself

I'm a huge fan and season ticket holder at Bolton Wanderers, I love playing football, golf and tennis.

Are you actively involved in playing with any band?

Yes, Percussionist at Dyke.

How did you decide who you were going to approach to set up your www site?

I knew GK Design had set up web sites for some of my friends and approached them, they took care of everything else

Please can you explain for us how you prepared and planned for the
development of the site?

I didn't do any of the technical things regarding the site just organising the endless different texts for the various pages

How closely did you work with the designer of the website?

I flew to Holland on two occasions where the company are based and spent in total four intense days working completely on the overall design.

What content do you feel should be included on a brass band www site?

On a brass band site? Info on the band, events, personnel, news maybe a photo gallery and message board, I suppose that's just the usual things?

Have any innovative ideas been used on your www site?

None really that I know of, apart from an 'arty' home page

Why should people visit PLC Music site?

I have started my website as my electronic 'professional card' ,there is a lot of work coming in to me as a composer and it was recommended by many friends that I should have a web site to promote my music so that customers, companies etc can sample some of my compositions and get in touch with me.

What do you feel is important when planning and setting up www sites…?

Getting the right information across to the people who are going to look at it.

How long did it actually take to get it built?

Around a month.

How do you manage the content on your web site and do you have a
publishing policy?

It's time consuming, very time consuming.

How do you see the influence of the internet assisting the banding
movement over the next 5 to 10 years?

It has already made banding accessible all over the world the only way is up (I hope).

In most visited order, what are your 5 most frequently used www sites?

1. bwfc.co.uk
2. skysports.com
3. my internet banking site
4. msn.com
5. bbc.com

Can you let our members know of any other www sites you feel are
interesting to visit but are not in your top 5, and why this is so.

www.youtube.com (http://www.youtube.com/) search for "binocular soccer" its quite funny

Could you please name your all time favourite www site, and why so?

plcmusic.com - my first site!

Do you use online community forums, if so, which ones do you use?

Not really.

What do you do to relax and unwind?

Catch up with my friends

Tell us something about yourself that we don't already know.

I got a two pound coin stuck up my nose last Summer - very embarrassing Dave Childs has the video evidence to prove it, which he then passed on to John Doyle. John presented the awards at the Black Dyke annual dinner with a big screen and projector... need I say any more?

What are your other hobbies?

Eating out, collecting ties and dvd's, I mentioned golf and football already enjoying good wine and whiskey.

What do you drive?

That's a long story but I'm lumbered with an old Vauxhall Cavalier at the moment .......don't ask.
