I'm so sorry to hear this, a special man.
Always told it as it was, you always knew where you were with Ken.
Biggest memory,: when he gave me a lesson on playing Nocturne, he was special, Nobody understood a slow melody like Ken.
Condolences to you pal and of course to your Mum
Sincerest regards

You shall be missed Ken.
He always made we feel welcome and I loved spending many a happy time with him in France. If there was anything he didn't know about trombones, then it wasn't worth knowing!
He certainly touched a lot of people and I shall have some very fond memories of him.
My sympathy to Marjorie, William, Sam and family at this very sad time.

Very sad news.
I knew Ken in the 1960's when he played for Lofthouse Colliery Band and, if my memory serves me right, he was also associated with Spenborough Victoria Band.
I often met up with him at Slow Melody Contests.
He used to play "The Swan", and your Uncle Charlie used to play "Softly Awakes My Heart". (Is he still with us ?)
I recall your Dad playing "Le Preludes" with Lofthouse under Trevor Walmsley at a contest at Ossett Town Hall when he lost hold of his slide and it slid across the floor towards the cornets.
Great times.
A fabulous banding character who will be sadly missed.
Sincere condolences to you and your family.
