No music or Score provided

Messy start, not clear and I can't hear precision in 12/8 quavers. Cornets recover well and are controlled on high repeated sections.

Horns pick up melody well... with fine Basses providing shot notes. Messy cornets on top line following this (difficult to state where when no score sorry). Percussion don't rush...!

I still hear a distinct lack of clarity through the 12/8 sections... all the notes seem to melde into one another.

4/4 is a little better... nice Euphonium solo line. Nice dynamic control into the rall and tierce de picardie.

Cornet Solo: nice sound, though a little nervous... Euphonium continues well. Sop solo is flat, as are the accompaniment parts especially the low cornets. Listen to each other - if you all do that, then you will all adjust and all be in tune!!!!

Accell... doesn't get faster!!

Horn / Sop Duet: Nice start, and cornet continues with very pleasant sound but the nerves are there again.

Glock not in time with rest of band... too early...!

Resumption into 12/8 messy... sorry! Nice Flugel/Horn playing well together... in tune and accurate... Not enough dynamic contrast in this section and the kit percussion is way out of time with the rest of band - rushing.

Last chord overblown!

In summary - rather messy, no clarity or accuracy of playing, especially in cornets. I suspect there were many nerves on stage with you today. Maybe more dynamic contrast would have helped your performance today.

We have offered our opinion of the bands performance based on the music, and on what we hear; and not on the technicalities of notes and other musical markings in the score etc.

Please don't be offended if you don't agree with what we write. This will simply be a combination of a report of our opinions on how we felt the performance went on the day, and of what's happening at the contest.

Please feel free to add your comments and your scores based on what you heard but please remember to keep these constructive and within the spirit of tMP and our guidelines. :)
