Good start, well controlled and nice triplet semi's all through band - well done.

Nice woodblock...:) (had to give you a mention eh)

Good opening section

Waltz: great sound and control... good dynamic contrast and wonderfully played everyone. G - very good.

J: still well in control, good sounds and excellent use of dynamics, into cornet solo... (here goes...)

Sop: Nice sound, well played sir...
Solo Horn: take your time... again, well played
Baritone: not often a Bari player gets a chance to shine... you did!!
Euphonium: Awesome... well done on top D...

Great soloists - well done...

Variation IV: horn lovely sound... and solo ct plays well into Q. Good dynamics everyone... nicely controlled. Well done rep!

Solo Ct Cad: great sound... well played as well... super stuff. You controlled nerves excellently.

Variation V: clean and well articulated, not overdone.
Variation VI: ood Euph, and nicely supported on lower Baritone. Well done Solo Ct. U remains well played. Faultless so far folks! very well rehearsed...

Variation VII: super Xyl... excellent into X... very well played...

Variation: VIII: super cornet solo and flugel underneath...3 = I hear the extasy :)

Variation: IX : well done 2nd and 3rd cts... 5 well in control...

*sits back and enjoys rest of performance*

Start: excellent
Middle: Excellent
End: Excellent

We have offered our opinion of the bands performance based on the music, and on what we hear; and not on the technicalities of notes and other musical markings in the score etc.

Please don't be offended if you don't agree with what we write. This will simply be a combination of a report of our opinions on how we felt the performance went on the day, and of what's happening at the contest.

Yep, I'll second that - and thanks for making reference to those of us who don't usually get a mention - 2nd baritone, 2nd & 3rd cornets... Thanks in particular for your nice comment about me!!!!
