Northern Area Champions, the Ever Ready Band (http://www.btinternet.com/~er.band/), conducted by Ray Farr, will be in concert at Elvet Methodist Church, Durham City, on Saturday 22nd November starting at 7pm.

Also featuring in the concert will be music students from the University of Durham (http://www.dur.ac.uk/).

Tickets are £5, concessions £4.

By the way - Elvet Methodist Church is the one on the opposite side of the road to the County Hotel, if you've ever done Durham Miners Gala it's the one you pass after about 4 pints. It's also the one you don't remember passing on the way back out of Durham! :guiness

At Durham day this year i swear i saw 2 Elvet Hotels on the way out of Durham..........

and 2 Elvet Bridges
and 2 County Hotels
not good when you're at the front of the march!!!

Eeh you're right! I won't attempt at one though (huge sighs of relief...)

My indicator as to whether I've supped too much in Durham is when I think going into Klute is a good idea!
