Amendment to results. Five Rivers were 3rd and Ashington were 4th by a margin of five points. The confusion arose cos they only anounced the first two bands and I was given misinformation. I will have to now try to fish my trombone out of the Tyne where I flung it in frustration thinking my band was last. :P

On second thoughts I will leave it there cos I was really ****!! :wink:

The contest was really well run with at least 10 minutes between bands to reload my drink. I missed one band for some chit chat in the bar and this turned into an hour as they organisers helpfully provided an extra half hour drinking time until the Championship Section started. Bliss 8)

Glad you had a good day and sorry we missed it this year - we won section 1 last time out but owing to the changed dates and our existing commitments the band reluctantly decided not to go.

Congrats to all the winners though.
