According to the announcement on the Kapitol website, the 2nd section is on the Sunday afternoon.

I notice that the 4barsrest classifieds also list the regionals pieces as the set music.

See you there Chunky.

I'm so jealous, our band convincingly beat 4 of the 2nd section finalist bands at Butlins only a couple of months ago.
Missed out yet again by one place - coming 3rd for the last 3 years. It should have been us - Sulk :(

So sorry BigHorn! Would not swap our Butlins result for the result at area under any circumstance!

Well, if it's any consolation, we took the area performance we were capable of on stage at Stevenage last Saturday, but we left the Butlins performance we were capable of in Staines bandroom on the Thursday night before.

Good luck next year.

What's "*&^{~#|><\+>" in Welsh ?

Seriously; heartiest congratulations to the Welsh Bands, a well deserved triumph.
Did our Yorkshire beer agree with you ?
(Even if snooty Harrogate bums up the prices)

WAHEY!!!!! Well chuffed with 2nd with Beaumaris yesterday. Bit of a late one last night and have given up teaching today - its keyboard and headphone lessons via distance learning!

Congratulations to Newbridge and Iwan (will never hear the end of it from him now!

Plus at least Welsh Rugby has improved immediatley now that Gyppo Jenkins has had the boot! It was like having George W Bush as head coach the rubbish he was spouting!

LOL nice one Dewi I can report that we did not have any unscheduled stops on the way home this year. However Iwan was repeatedly trumping out the trombone part along with the CD following the Curry house last night lol

Had to drive home with the windows open lol hehe ....

A great weekend for Welsh banding. looking forward to Burry port this weekend now

Well done to all the bands especially Newbridge:clap:.

We had a fab time and 7th was a reasonable result.

A special thanks must go to the stage-crew of the contest as a mobile phone went off in the third movement of our performance:frown: This is the second contest in a row we have had a techinical interruption to our performance, perhaps we must have really upset someone, somewhere??;)
