New collaboration between JAGRINS & tMP

tMP and JAGRINS Music Publications are delighted to announce a new innovation which will help promote the careers of both young Composers & Arrangers, and at the same time contribute to the tremendous growth of theMouthPiece.com.

JAGRINS has always been very keen to promote new compositions and arrangements for the Brass Band Movement, and we at tMP are obviously delighted to be able to help where we can. Three of the current crop of the movement’s bright young composers & arrangers that JAGRINS have on their books also happen to be active members of tMP - Andrew Baker (Anno Draconis), Iain McKnight (Bassinthebathroom) and Benjamin Tubb (HBB).

JAGRINS are today releasing one piece from each of these young composers and if you buy one (or more) of them, they will be paid royalties for each purchase (which will, of course, and we hope, encourage them to write even more).

You will find information and even some ‘sound-bites’ of the pieces - ‘The Sword and The Star’, ‘The Goat’ and ‘Londonderry Air’ on JAGRINS home page found at www.jagrins.com (http://www.jagrins.com/).

In addition, JAGRINS will donate 10% of every sale to theMouthPiece.com.

To ensure that the correct payments are directed to tMP please quote tMP13JAG when ordering. If you are ordering online, please quote this in the section where you are asked if you would like to include a note with your payment. If you wish to order by post or by telephone (please note that you will not be able to use a credit card for these methods) please phone JAGRINS using their 24 hour answering service on +44 (0) 77 044 90 899

'The Sword and the Star' by Andy Baker is fantastic! Its a treat to play, with features for all sections of the band, and is also really great to listen to, ideal for opening concerts or finishing an entertainments contest!

Incidentally, we have recorded it on our new CD also called "The Sword and the Star" IMHO it is one of the best arrangements on there!
If we didn't have it already, i'd buy it!

I'd just like to second what Crazysop said about 'The Sword and the Star'

It opened our concert in December with style and was really well received by the both the audience and the band - it has a lovely Scottish feel to it and incorporates a couple of tunes that you just can't help but hum for days after... or months (doo d-d-dooooo).

A definite recommendation and a big thumbs up from the Edinburgh University Brass Band :tup :tup
