Hi
We're working our socks off behind the scenes, piecing together all the details of all the regions. As soon as we have gathered all the information, we'll be posting our "Official Regional" threads as we did last year.
Watch this space. ;)
Thanks for that look forward to it

News item on 4BR lists runners and riders!
Barnton Silver will be performing (we'll leave it at that) in the 4th section.
Good luck to everybody.

Spotted it, looks like most of the usual suspects are there then.Who's for the prizes then?
It amazes me that in some areas where 20 odd bands are playing, (ie the north west area 4th section) There only seems to be one adjudicator appointed but in other areas, (ie the Scotland area 4th section) there are 2 adjudicators for only 6 bands!
Do bands in the northwest pay less to be affiliated to the brass band association that they can only employ the single adjuducator for a contest that is argueably the most important contest that any band does during the year?
Also I am sure I am not alone in my feelings that, because I conduct a band, I am not able to play with the band I am registered with as the sections clash. This would appear to be such a drawback from having so many sections playing at the same time. With the shortage of players generally is it really such a good idea for this arrangement to continue? It also brings up the point that you miss listening to many bands as the sections clash?
What do people feel about that?

Maybe this posting is in the wrong place as very few people seem to have read it or made any comments on what I was sure would be a "hot" subject to talk about given that the area contest is just round the corner.

:)
I'm locking this thread now so a fresh discussion can take place on the 'official 'WoE thread which contains all the entries etc.
