Hi folks, know alot of you follow the other religion of football. How do you think your team will do. Here goes with mine Tranmere.

League - narrowly miss out on play offs - loose in final in penalty shootout to T'Udders.

League Cup - knocked out first round by Hull, former TRFC player Price or Roberts scores winner against us.

FA Cup - Quarter finals (we're due there again)

LDV Vans or whatever its called this season - winners but doesn't make up for not going up.

AFC Wimbledon-

League- Automatic promotion from the Ryman Premier

League Cup- Final again (well it is the Ryman league cup!)

FA Cup- We start in the 1st Qualifying round so success would be to get to the 1st round proper

Tin pot cups- Surrey Senior cup final and to win it for the 3rd time!

Of course the dream end to the season would be for us to go up and the Franchise MK Dongs to go down again, meaning we'll only be 1 league away from them

The mighty Terriers Huddersfield Town;

Will be disappointed if we dont do at least the play offs again in League 1, really i'm looking for automatic promotion this yr. Should have done it last yr but for a couple of speels of very poor results.

FA Cup- If we manage to get promotion from League 1 then the FA Cup is irrelevant, i'd rather go out early and do well in the League than have a decent cup run that affects our league placing.

League Cup- See Above!

Here's to a good season!

I fear that it will be another long season for us canaries, full of hope, only to be dashed by the total lack of tactics used by Nigel Worthington.

However, there may be hope, because during the world cup, on seeing Brazil in their yellow shirts, my daughter started jumping up and down and shouting, "Look daddy, Norwich are on telly".............such innocence eh? :dunno

I'll be happy if Southend just consolidate their position in the Championship, and steer clear of the relegation dogfight!

Wasn't that the aim last season as well Peter?

Well, if it brings about the same outcome this season we won't be complaining ;)

I predict that, with the signing of Hasselbaink and Bent's new contract, that Charlton will no only win the Premiership and both cups, but will win the Champions League next year too. Oh, is that the alarm clock.....

Same as every other season in the Premiership, fighting for survival! Still Harry might be able to buy some new players with the new owners money. And at least we are above the Scummers.

A top ten finish for Sheffield United, and if results go our way we may even be able to sneak into the European qualification slots...

*SLAP*

If we get off to a good start, we could well be OK, but it's going to be a tough season whatever. I think a few teams may struggle as well as the promoted clubs, and hopefully we'll be able to capitalise on this. Success would be survival, and hopefully by a few places as well.

United League - Finish 2nd behind Chelski.
League Cup - Quarter Finals
FA Cup - Winner
European Cup - Quarter Finals

FC United NWCFL Div 1 - Winners (now we feature a certain R Giggs in the squad!)

Leicester.

Well with no money, and not many new signings I can't see us improving much on last years Championship 12th place. But they were playing better under Rob Kelly and without having to go through the transition of kicking out another manager (hopefully  ) we might squeeze a play-off place. Mid-table to lower play-off positions.

Get further than Oxford or Swindon!;-P

That won't be hard! After relegation to the Conference, I'm hoping Oxford United will go straight back up to League Two but they will probably finish somewhere in the top half. You've got to support your home town club, even if they are, er...not very good!

As for Everton, I predict a top 10 finish in the Prem, hopefully qualifying for a UEFA cup place. I think we deserve another shot at playing in Europe!

You've got that right. Sheffield United!

Hopefully do a bit better than just survive, but I'd settle for that. Could do without cup runs to be honest.

Now that St Glen of Hoddle is out of the picture , and Milan Manderic looking to invest in Wolves with uncle Jack...things are looking pretty good , only fly in the ointment could be the appointment of professional Irishman Mick McCarthy , still he did wonders with Sunderland who knows what he can do with a motivated squad and a bit of cash...wahoooo

Liverpool - 2nd
and either/or FA or league cup
Europe - semi's
Leeds - 3rd (up through play-offs)
Halifax Town (up the Shaymen!) - 2nd automatic spot

Linfield - Northern Irish 5-cup winners again

hate to say it but my team leeds united have really ducked up this time (im sure you'll all realise that was a slip of the finger, it was meant to land on the f, not the d). carole could be a good signing but livermore and nicholls, what the hell is goin on! On top of all that, pugh, hulse, and now bennett are all going or gone already, those 3 should have stayed, i aint bothered about ricketts and wright going, waste of wages, plus about 3 or 4 others in our current squad aswell. Leeds should have been pushing for auto promo this season, they wont even reach the playoffs now!

i think brummy will do a southampton and flop in their 1st season back down in the dumps of the championship. I'd say west brom should destroy most teams as they seem to have kept most of their better players, sunderlands squad was championship level anyway, and their 2 best players, kelvin davis and julio arca are now both gone, so they need to be replaced if sunderland are to challenge.

overall I dont see any special teams this season apart from w.b. mentioned earlier, could be close to see who does the best this season, 1 things nearly sure unless blackie gets his tactics right, leeds wont be going up this time :(

on the going down side, barnsley to stay up, southend and colchester to go straight back down again, and to go down with em, probably hull, struggled last season and they aint made many inroads to solving the problems, replacing peter taylor can't have been a good thing to have to do either.

and so onto the prem. Chelsea, again! nuff said i think, sheva and ballack are 2 very good signings, and depending on who else comes in and goes out, they shouldnt have any problems this season. now that arsenals young players have had a season to play, i think they will shine this year, plus rosicky will be a great signing for them, maybe 1 or 2 more signings and arsenal will come 2nd this season. close between liverpool and man utd then i think, pool have more squad depth but man utd seem to do something every season, although they did it all on the quiet last season!

Could it finally be the season where some of the lesser BIG teams shine? spurs are expected to do well this season although with jol bringing in so many new players all the time its a wonder his team gels!, potentials there tho, although they can't say they aint had the cash to buy it all ;-) . I'll say it again, bolton look good, although no JJ this season, could be a flair player they miss in the short term, although they should have the back up required, will fortune give them the fortune they worked hard for last season? middlesbro have 1 of the best youth policies in england and it could be time for their young guns to fire up, they still have some valuable experience in there and southgate as a coach, not a bad idea, he has played consistantly in the top level for about a decade or so, and they should have some of their more experienced players fully fit this time.

going down, sheffield united without a shadow of a doubt, watford and reading may stay up but it will be very difficult for them as the standard in the prem does seem to have gone up another level again. joinin sheffy i'll say (god lookin at the list this aint easy!) Could be fulham and villa, fulhams squad lacks depth, although their 1st 11 aint too bad when fully fit, and coleman aint a bad coach either, but with the fiasco at A.V., i'd say they are lookin to mearly survive this season, and realistically, either watford or reading could come straight back down, really depends on how the prem teams adapt to them being the newboys.

So theres my latest TMP essay, ENJOY! :D

Let's see what the future holds for the Canaries.............

League: Mid table obscurity due to poor tactics by Nigel
League Cup: First Round exit to Torquay due to poor tactics etc
FA Cup: Third Round exit due to poor tactics etc., Maybe only brightened up by a one woman pitch invasion by a celebrity chef!

My hopes for the season:

1) We beat Ipswich at their place
2) We beat Ipswich at our place
3) We finish above Ipswich this season
4) Nigel realises he does not have a clue and finds the exit door.
5) That maybe our new coach, Martin Hunter, the former England U19 coach actually will show Nigel what football is all about and save 25,00 people from getting a stiff neck from watching hoofball at Carrow Road

So all in all I am not too optimistic!

That could be interesting Clive as Nicholls got sent off last season at Carrow Road after a fall out with Dickson Etuhu. Could be the whiff of revenge in the air maybe?

@ Sandman whats this Lee Croft like we have just shelled out 700k on from you guys?

I think Lee Croft is fantastic, and personally I am gutted to see him leave, especially for a pittance.

Unfortunately, the last time I saw Crofty play was a week ago against Rochdale at the Spotland Stadium, it was the worst ive ever seen from him, he looked unprepared and VERY unfit.

However, when you see him at his best, for example, when he was on loan for Oldham vs Bolton, he was out of this world, the match was basically Bolton Wanderers vs Lee Croft? Any club in the world would have thought £10m was a bargain for him on that day?

And if you want some useless info on him, he was capped by England more than any other player in England at Schoolboy level. He has played in the world youth championships in 2003 and is a Liverpool fan.

Wrexham - my predictions (Providing we exit Administration by Friday):

League 2: Playoffs as a minimun, automatic promotion if our two goal scorers (Juan Ugarte and Lee McEvilly) start banging them in again when they're fit.

League Cup: Knocked out by Sheffield Wednesday in the first round.

FA Cup: 4th round. We have a history of doing well in this comp and have been massive giant killers in our time (anyone remember us beating Arsenal in 1992?). We really could do with the money from a good run this year.

LDV Cup: Out in early stages. We won this two years ago - was something special about that year though - the money we got from winning helped in a big way to stop the club folding. I'll never forget that day at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff though - superb.

Was working at Carrow Road yesterday and heard nothing. It would not surprise me if he went out on loan. He started very impressively a few years ago and then was injured a lot last season, so a loan spell may help. Is Chris Llewellyn still playing for you guys?

@ Sandman: Thanks for the info. I guess if their had been speculation he was going he may not have been preparing so hard, knowing he was likely to be sold. From what you have said I look forward to seeing him down the right and Huckerby down the left supplying crosses for our huge centre forward Robert Earnshaw!

Ah, and Mr Huckerby you are bringing back nice memories of Maine Road 2002 :D

Obviously I dont want Stuart Pearce to make any incorrect decisions, but I think they are an occupational hazard of any manager. I just hope this sale of Crofty is Pearces biggest regret. I would give him another season at least, he offers a wide option we are lacking.

Scarborough FC.

Just been relegated to the Conference North for off-the-field financial irregularities.

Starting with -10 points deduction too.

Midtable this season then promotion back to the Conference next will do fine!

Oh dear shame the -10 wasn't given at the end of last season and you weren't starting with a deficit. Good luck.
