M.D. on the day: Gary Davies
Piece: Paganini Variations, Philip Wilby

Remember we don't have a score!!!

A few slips on ct to start but a superb opening... well done. Guess I am going to enjoy this performance.

Euph solo: excellent.. Well done Angela!

Muted troms are superb!

Flugel plays with class too

Please remember I dont have a score!! and so can't refer to placemarkings. Muted cts, clear and crisp. A little flat on trombone in that section.

Trom Solo: nervous but cracking! Cts into semi's are clear but some ragged entries on troms. Basses superb... exciting stuff this, wow... excellent mood and dynamic control. Super sop..

Cts.. lets see then... well played on the nightmare runs. A little untidy on a few entries but superb really. Euphs and basses on same runs - class!!

fanfare and fugue: superb start, class playing here folks! what a fantastic atmosphere... fanfare is in control and flows well. A little rushe dat the end but... Bravo!

Basses: clear and precise section, and is it baritone too!!?? excellent again.

Flugel Solo: you have a classic sound and this is beautifully played indeed madam. Poise, balance and sheer class. Well done. Euph again... what a performance for a 2nd section band. Angela - you are class...:)

Wonderful playing that I will imagine would be hard to beat in this section...
Sop and horn: beautiful music, Ct: underpressure - you perform eloquently. WOW - Ab octaves (and down) on euph are classic Angela... excellent. Flugel solo - wonderful sound, glorious sound. This is a wonderful performance indeed. The band comes in to take over this section in a balanced style and the music is gorgeous. Soprano - just a few minor blips on some notes... doesn't spoil anything in our opinion.

Mood created on basses and Bass Trom - awesome... wonderful rasping :)

Gliss's not quite balanced though!!! (hah I found something wrong hehehe)

resounding performance worthy of a first placing - it simply has to... what a wonderful, fantastic performance Tylorstown Band. Thank you so very much.

John
