The Salvation Army Symphonic Wind Ensemble

is presenting a programme on

Saturday 25th October at Boscombe Corps, Palmerston Road, Bournemouth, commencing at 7pm

Vocal solos by Daren Bartlett

If you would like a change from all-brass, and can put up with a few reeds and plenty of percussion, then this programe could be for you!

Darren Bartlett, from Boscombe Corps, is renowned throughout the SA world and beyond for his solos in a contemporary style.

The ensemble's items will include works by Andrew Mackereth, Alan Laken and Michael Babb, and yours truly will be there, saxophone in hand, to greet any of you who can get along!

Ahhhh., i remember playing in the first SASWE gig at Ilford, and some of the earlier do's around the country!

The brass players nightmare!: 3 hours of being told to play loud and louder, followed by a concert where we were told to play even louder and louder!!!! Dont think Mr Mackereth had discovered where the 'softer' dynamics were on his computer package!!!! My lips have never been the same again! :lol:
