We're very short on music at the moment as is being discussed - here (http://www.themouthpiece.com/vb/showthread.php?t=20146) ;):)
I think I'll also have a look at Harlequin as well, because I reeeally like Pantomime!
Woo keep them coming Mr Sparke Sir!:biggrin:
We had a run through Harlequin before the area for an upcoming Philip Sparke CD, what a lot of notes!!! Cracker.

Having heard David Childs play "Harlequin" live at Hendon Highlights, as well as on his "Welsh Connections" cd, I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys lyrical writing - providing they've got a good upper register.
Harlequin has also been recorded already by Steven Mead, together with Brass Band Buizingen.
The CD,"Euphonium Virtuoso" is to be released at the end of the month.
Tracklist:
Steven Mead, euphonium
Brassband Buizingen o.l.v. Luc Vertommen
Harlequin - Philip Sparke
Concerto per Flicorno Basso - Amilcare Ponchielli Arr.Prof. Henry Howey
The Playful Pachyderm - Gilbert Vinter Arr. Luc Vertommen
Euphonium Concerto - Joseph Horovitz
Pokarakare Ana - Paraire H.Tomoana Arr. Luc Vertommen
Concerto for Cello and Wind Orchestra - Friedrich Gulda Arr. Luc Vertommen

Haven't got my hands on Harlequin yet but I learnt Pantomime under the direction of David Childs when I started at Birmingham Conservatoire in September, and it's a fantastic piece of music, I love it! Will have to keep my eye out for Harlequin!

I've been trying to track down a copy of this in the US, and no one seems to know what the heck I'm talking about (except Adam Frey, but I'm... "not sure" how he got his copy of it). Anyone have any ideas how I can get a copy of this (at least for euph and piano, though the band set would be great)?
