lol!
this brings me back years ago when I was staying at my grandparents place... we had vienetta for desert once, and granddad decided to put it in the microwave... came out flat and melted as ever! lol! so funny!

I like it cold personally... but melted cold... cant crunch the stuff proply cos my teeth are too sensitive...

 :D

Dyl you make me chuckle. Although ice cream is best when you let it melt and stir it all up loads so it goes all creamy, mmmm

Ice cream is great with a warm desert, like a lovely, crusty apple pie. Hmmmmm.... :P

I've had chocolate ice Cream with prawns before!
But I would like to point out, I was 3 or 4 at the time, and have absolutely no recollection of doing it!!

HOT!!! as in baked alaska styley!!

I second the baked alaska, but I would hope that the meringue has covered the ice cream so that the ice cream itself stays cool, and doesn't melt away :!:

Probably because I remember when blocks of ice cream were really solid, and seemed to stay cold better - they had to in the days before fridges :!:

Well I remember going to the shop to buy the ice cream for tea, and then putting it in the larder, next to the air brick to keep it cool . . . (Sorry, off on the reminiscence trail again  )

MMMmmmm. Baileys Icecream :)

And cold, especially with hot apple pie or something. Hot's just plain wrong.
I used to do the whole let it melt and mix it all up. Until i realised that i didnt actually like it like that.after doing it many times

I had an ice cream in a mexican restuarnt that was covered in Cornflakes and then deep fried. It was ok but wouldn't have it again.

I really like ice cream in a glass of pepsi now thats nice - you all should try it!

Nice dragging up of an old thread there... anyway, clearly ice-cream chould be cold enough to cause your head to feel like it's entirely frozen and about to explode!

Wish you hadn't resurrected this thread. I now have a 2 litre tub of Cornish vanilla I'm scoffing from. Diet what diet.
