Beimg pushed for time I thought i'd wait and see if anyone had spotted anything before I put my tuppenceworth in, but to no avail, so here goes.
1st Mvt
Bar 8 bass trom surely the decresc doesn't go far enough
Same bar no decresc for basses at all ?
2nd Mvt
Final bar. Shouldn't the 1st horn finish on a g? I've listened to the regionals recording and I can't pick out any added 6th chord there.
3rd Mvt
If i remember there are lots of slurred passages in the recording that haven't made it to the printed page.
4th mvt
fig. F shouldn't the euphonium part be marked tutti there? Also is there any reason why the triangle notes @ the opening and F for instance are not on the recording? Or if they are, they are very subtly done.
There may be others but haven't had much chance to look through the score in any great depth yet.

I wouldn't put too much faith in the recordings on the regionals CD!!

We wondered about the basses there. Doesn't make sense not to have a decresc.

Last movement, Figure L, 3 bars before M. The soprano has F crotchet, B flat quaver, G crotchet then G quaver. We tried this Friday night and disovered the solo horn has an A on the third note instead of a G, the sop part sounds a lot better with an A instead, is this correct?

Claire, the sop part there is simply a transposition of the solo cornet line, and in fact is doubled up on several other instruments as well, including the solo horn, so yes it should be an A rather than a G

Hi Claire
Thanks for this - checked out score and parts last nite and that G should be an A to match the cornets and soloH.
A bit dis none of our cornets picked this up!
Cheers
