My choice of brass band CD that others may have not considered is Brass Band de Waldsang's "Diversion" conducted by Rieks Van der Velde (1995, World Wind Music, WWM 500.005). This studio recording has clinical playing throughout it and production is superb. If you have any 'rare' albums to recommend, please feel free to add your own.
tracklist:-
1. Ballet For Band (Joseph Horovitz)
2. Cambridge Variations (Philip Sparke)
3. Diversions On A Bass Theme (George Lloyd)
4. Salamander (John McCabe)
