Posted on behalf of Bob Thompson of Brass Band Aid:
http://www.themouthpiece.com/images/brassbandaidlogo.jpg Brass Band Aid, in partnership with the charity 'World Vision'
aims to help provide a new school
for the town of Adet in Ethiopia.
This project has been specifically identified for Brass Band Aid - and gives the venture something specific to work towards. Imagine a town with a population of 35,000 people and only one school? This is now the main objective for Brass Band Aid - to provide these youngsters with a school. We will keep you updated about the project as and when we receive progress reports and photographs from World Vision which will allow everyone to view the project as it develops.

You are all aware of the Brass Band Aid CD that was recorded on the 14th and 15th of July - this CD will now be released in the first week of August, with all of the proceeds going to charity.
We would now like to announce the next stage of the Brass Band Aid project - a series of concerts promoted specifically towards this cause.
Imagine if only 100 bands agreed to promote a concert for Brass Band Aid during 2005? That alone has the potential to raise a huge amount for the project. However, imagine what we could achieve if more than 100 bands agreed to promote an annual concert!
We would like as many bands as possible to support this initiative, be they county bands, school bands, un-registered bands, it doesn’t matter, it’s about having fun, raising sponsorship and ‘Music Making a Difference'. The project is gaining support and interest Internationally with Bands from the USA and Australia wishing to take part in Brass Band Aid. We intend to publish a list of all the bands taking part and the dates, times and venue of their concerts on our website. You and your band can take part in this initiative, by promoting a concert, buying or selling the Brass Band Aid CD, and importantly, spreading the word!
