CONGRATULATIONS
NEWPORT CENTRE BRASS BAND & GREATER GWENT YOUTH BRASS BAND WHO BOTH WON THEIR RESPECTIVE SECTION AT THE ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL TODAY.
OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES FROM BOTH BANDS.
WE HEAR THE DRINKS ARE ON ALUN F. TONIGHT :!: :!: :guiness :guiness :guiness

JUst heard the results for Royal Festival Hall for Friday 11th July
Well done once again Greater Gwent :!: That makes it 5 Top awards at the festival this year for the Newport Based musicians

We cannot get mixed up with these bands as they are differerent!!!!!!!!!!
Being an ex Gwenty myself it is good to see traditions being met 8) 8)
I was actually in Germany at the time but we had texts to see what was happening.
Well Done!!!!!!!! :P :P :P :P
I thought the best of the best was supposed to go to the RAH for the youth prom. So why no invite for the best two youth bands in the country (U.K) in their respective sections. :evil:

I can understand your frustration but as i understand it because Gwent won 5 sections and the GGyBB played at RAH last year, the opportunity was offered to the wind synphonia to play this year.
Not sure why Newport Centre band wasn't invited though.
