My favourite would be the Standard Liege. The one where Liverpool seem to be making many miss steaks;)

You lot are turning this thread into a pea steak. Poor Perky.

For the record - I like tuna steak. Does that count?

Question - to choose a steak, is this before or after it goes through a mincer to make sausages?

Its a very expensive steak served all over Europe, usually from August to May.

Its looks great on the plate but the taste is often a let down.

I'm not usually a steak man - although I do like a bit of braising steak.

Can't beat a bit of thick rib if you want beef though. Best cut I've ever found. And just hung long enough with the fat slightly yellow like butter....

    I'm hungry now...

tell me more about it if you know more about meat than i do

Fillet used to always be my choice. I like it pretty red in the middle, probably rare, depending on the quality of the meat.

    Striploins aren't bad either.
