what would your all star band be from making it up from the top players currently in the yorkshire regionals, players from black dyke, grimethorpe, ybs and brighouse+rastrick could be some obvious choices, or will players from the other big bands like sellers, rothwell, hepwoth and carlton main catch your eye. or could a player or 2 from outside the championship section get in to a yorkshire allstar band?, the choices are yours, i'll have a look at the list and come up with my choice soon :) , happy choosing :D

I would definitely Have Joe Cook and John Pullin in the Eb bass section.

Well Worth it would have to be on percussion.

Gareth Brindle on baritone...can I get Rob Richardson too since he hasn't (as far as I know) done his first gig with Fairey's?

I'll think about the rest later

You could also make this a greater (impossible?) challenge by limiting it to bona fide Yorkshiremen and women ;)

Never mind Uncle Eric , you just sit down and take the weight off your feet.just open up your werther's originals....don't worry too much about equations at your age...it's all that trendy text speak these youngsters go on about.
anyway back on topic...as Mr Brooks has put difficult to find a band in yorkshire will an all yorkshire line up...Gawd bless all the Scots , Irish and Welsh playing in that wonderful part of the world 8)

If you want a real Yorkshireman for top trombone, bring back my old mate Dave Matthewman ;)

Hey Peter!! You know Dave Matthewman?!? He's a good friend of mine too!! He put the really quick semi quaver runs from the bari part in Tam O' Shanter in the 3rd section area this year...Grange Moor's bari's couldn't get the fingering fast enough so they gave it to Dave on solo trom!!! Absolutely awesome!!! You've never seen slide work like it in your life!!!

Thought he was a baritone player these days?
I'll have Ewan Williams on Flugel. What about the important seats, like bottom 3rd cornet, 2nd horn etc.?
Who's going to conduct this all star band???

Well yeah he's playing Bari at the mo, you can take the man out of the Euph, but you can't take the Euph out of the man.

    He's still a Euph inside.
