    Hello Everybody,

One of my best friends is moving up to Yorkshire (how jealous am I??) in just over a week, I want to give her a special going away present! I want to give her a yorkshire survival kit  but I don't really know what too put in it, other than yorkshire puddings and yorkshire tea and a map of yorkshire!

    Any Ideas? ..... please??

    Fi xx

It's made out of licorice - I think they're pretty disgusting actually, but then I don't like licorice!

Surely she needs things not readily available on the wrong side of the Pennines? Like warmth, sunshine, decent coffee, food that hasn't been boiled to death and soaked in lard...
Naughty badger. I'm going to hell for this aren't I. Particularly if my Yorkshire-born-and-bred husband sees this post.

As a true Yorkshireman born and bred, the only thing you need to survive in Yorkshire is good looks, lots of charm and a hatred of Lancashire;)

We're all outstandingly good folk, so your friend will settle in just fine!

One piece of Advice though never...ever, go on Ilkley moor b'aht 'at, it gets rather cold up there especially in winter.
