My church is looking to buy a tenor horn, and we've found a new York YTH352 Prescience in lacquer on clearance for around $500 US. The price is attractive, but I haven't been able to find any reviews, comments, or opinions on it. I know that York's gone out of business, but we can live with that if it's a good player.

Anyone tried the Prescience? Thoughts, comments, opinions appreciated.

They are a student model. The price is good, but I'd look for a better instrument personally.

  3. Better off looking for a decent secondhand Sovereign,a few goods ones about at a fair price (may have to pay some shipping though)

If you can find a York Preference on clearance - you'll have a good instrument. Practically a Besson Sovereign. They also did a model with a trigger with the same name
