At two recent concerts we played the Franks arrangement of "Yesterday", and someone commented that they knew of another arrangement, but could not remember by whom.

Which arrangement do tMPers prefer? Is there a favoured arrangement that suits most bands?

At Killamarsh we have a Ray Woodfield arrangement which I think was quite good - however as it was loaned out some years ago and never returned -grrh- we haven't played it for a while.

There's a good trombone solo arr. Snell.

I've done a couple of arrangements of this, both really easy to play - one for full band, and the other for flexible/junior band instrumentation. Both are published by Obrasso.

At Whitwell, we play Goff Richards's arrangement of Yesterday which features the cornet section. This is published by Obrasso.

Isn't Yesterday one of the most recorded songs ever?

""Yesterday" has achieved recognition as being the most recorded song in the history of popular music; its entry in the Guinness Book of Records suggests over 3000 different cover versions to date"

    That'll be a "yes" then
