Nick Walkley replaces Pete Roberts at YBS

Nick Walkley joins the formidable line up of principal players at YBS and follows in the footsteps of the ‘legend’ Peter Roberts

Now then with that apointment and speculations going on.
Kevin Crockford going back to Grimethorpe joining from Sellers, which means as we all know Nigel Fielding will he go to Sellers a 99.9% chance he will.
But as any one thought what if Nigel Fielding does not go to Sellers.
    The burning question is:

Good Luck with the Move Nick , it's a pity there are so many small minded people who have put comments on your website , I just hope you have logged the IP addresses and done something about that abuse.
    take it easy mate.

    Disgusted! :ranting2::ranting2:

At the disgraceful comments left on Nicks guest book last night. OK, so not everyone agrees with the move, but hey, it happens. Thats the way of banding, players transfer all the time. No player trying to find him/herself a new place to settle should be met with such bitterness and sarcasm. I sincerely hope that none of those messages left were left by any members of this friendly forum. If they were, and you are reading this, then you should be ashamed of yourself.

And let me ask you, How many other players in the big bands who are currently on the move have similar messages in their mail?

There, Mumsie has had her say. Not one to touch band politics with a barge pole, but I couldn't let such disgraceful behaviour pass without comment.

Hey Nick, good luck, and as they say, "don't let the b*s*a*d* grind you down" ;)

    Fully back up Dinie.

I really think that hateful messages are really unforgiveable.

Nick is free to go where ever he likes and he shouldn't be hated for moving between bands.

why what did people say on nicks website???
theres no need to be nasty if thats what he wants to do, even though it did say he was leaving farieys beacuse he did not have time to forfill the time commitment it requires as he wanted more time for uni and freinds but wont ybs take up more of his time??? any way its his choice in the end, ill look forward to hearing the new band line up.

From all accounts, there were some nasty things said - alongside some messages of support. However, whatever messages that were left on there are best kept away from tMP. Nick has made his decision - the guy should at least be given the chance before being 'attacked' in that way.

    New Sop at YBS

I do not know Nick , but wish him the best of luck, It will be a hard task, and time will tell, but I may be biased, i do not think a good cornet player can make the change to a good sop,at that level. Alan Morrison Being the exception!!, does any one know differant???

Sop player 1St sec( sick as a parrott cos i cant do the job)
