Does anyone have any tips on cleaning the valve on a Yamaha Xeno Bb/F trombone? It's getting a bit sticky, and feels like there is some build up of corrosion inside. The oil I've used does not appear to be making it better.
I removed the two screws on the back of the valve, and the front cover plate, but there is no access to the spindle.
    Any advice?

Take it to a tech/repairer...it's a job for a pro because if you get it wrong it will cost you a lot more in repair bills.

and watch them carefully while they do it, asking them to explain the subtleties, so that you can do it yourself the next time. It's a perfectly doable job for the amateur, but not one that you should try to bluff, for the reason given above.
