I'm currently trying out the Dave King Mouthpiece that I got with my new Xeno Cornet in place of my usual Wick RW3B. I'm loving the huge sound that it gives, but anything above an A above the stave is horrific to play. Does anyone have any suggestions that are similar size rim to the Dave King with similar tone but take a bit less puff to play up the range?

More suited towards solo cornet work as well!

Stick with it...I play on a prototype version of the DK mouthpiece (I played on a DW3 before), and it took quite a bit to get used to it, but now I wouldn't change it! High notes were difficult, but like everything, once you get used to it, it will become easier!
Obviously if it hurts to play, then try something else, but as for my opinion, I think it's a great mouthpiece.
