    Y. & H. B.B.A. Brass and Percussion Workshop.

A grant from Arts Council England, Lottery funded, has ensured that the Yorkshire & Humberside Brass Band Association are able to hold their annual Brass and Percussion Workshop on Saturday, 10[SUP]th[/SUP] November 2012 at Minsthorpe Community College, South Elmsall, Nr. Pontefract.

The course will be lead by Sandy Smith, Musical Director, Grimethorpe Colliery Band with tutors from principal players within the band.

This course is very popular and all levels are assured of a warm welcome with good food, good tutors and a great day of music making with friends. The day commences with registration at 9.00 a.m, includes sectional and full band practices and closes at approx. 4.00 p.m.

Due to the large demand for places the annual brass and percussion workshop organised by the Yorkshire and Humberside Brass Band Association and tutored by Grimethorpe Colliery Band is now full.

Peggy Tomlinson, Course Administrator, states “We now have over 90 students attending the course and unfortunately we are not able to accept any further applications. The course is being lead by Sandy Smith and we are all looking forward to a good day at Minsthorpe Community College on 10[SUP]th[/SUP] November”.
