About the Farrant Singers: Being the longest established chamber choir in Salisbury, the Farrant Singers consist of about 35 people based in and around the medieval city. Conducted by Colin Howard they have an ever-widening repertoire, both secular and sacred, and give three or four concerts a year, along with weddings, carol singing, cathedral services and other events.
With the aid of grants the Choir have established The Farrant Youth Orchestra, a group of young graduates from our most prestigious music colleges. Their playing has added a vibrancy and immediacy to their accompanied concerts which are held at least once a year. The Farrant Singers also support local composers and incorporate new work into concert programmes whenever possible.
