A very belated "good luck" I'm sure it was fine - the trick to solo playing is to be confident and stick it to 'em.

Prey tell though what did you play??

I'm sure it was fine, badger! A belated good luck hug and a presumptious well done hug to boot!

So yes.... what did you play?

You have my sympathy! Hope it went well. :) I'm having the same worries now. We have a new Conductor and he wants all the Solo players to perform a solo out next season! Being Solo Horn (by default, not ability) I'm dreading it. Don't know what he has in mind yet, although Iona was mentioned in passing. Might have to find a new band before then.

Badger solo (Star of Bethlehem) went very well in an otherwise average concert. The rest of the band were a little loud though.
BMB hoped to play from the horn rank but, due to popular demand, ended up standing at the front of the band. Loads of compliments and hugs (and a fag) afterwards

    xx

Like Jules said, went pretty well. Was told by one or two afterwards it was best I've ever played it!

Star of Bethlehem by someone whose name escapes me, but was written for William Rushworth at Dyke.

Was my first solo in 14 years, (last time I played solo was on Flugel with Cholsey in Oxfordshire when I played I Don't Know How To Love Him) so was pleased to get it over with.

Thanks a million for all the support.:D :D
