The good news continues to pour in for Wingates it seems after they received notification that they have been invited to play as part of the Leeds International Concert season at Morley Town Hall, Leeds next year.

The concerts start with The Cory Band and the other bands to be invited include Grimethorpe, Black Dyke, Fodens, Brighouse & Rastrick, Reg Vardy, University of Huddersfield, Fairey and YBS.

Musical Director Andy Berryman said: "This is the best news the band has received in years. To play at Morley in this festival is a great coup for the band.

Although it is only a week before the band takes part in the Mineworkers contest at Skegness it's an opportunity not to turn down and will show that Wingates are moving in the right direction. We have a packed December but this will be a perfect way to start 2008."
