    Hi there,

Not sure if anyone can help at all?

I am trying to find a couple of pieces of music that would be considered as "traditional Whitsuntide" pieces.

Our local historical society are looking for us to record some music to accompany some very old video footage of a Whit march, and we are looking for it to be as authentic and historically correct as possible, and we want to avoid using just any march.

Does any one know if there is a particular Whitsuntide march that woudl have been used for parades, or if there are particular pieces that were traditional to play for such an occasion?

    Many thanks in advance!

How about Recollections of England by Rimmer

I would have thought the obvious choice would be "Hail, Smiling Morn", no?
