Awesome ...to think the same weekend last year my band were in the sun and warm of Amboise, oh well we'll have to put up with the rain and chavs of tameside/saddleworth

    ... and a 25% chance of snow?

I'm going to be optimistic and say that the forecast is wrong :)

I wouldn't trust any forecast further than 48 hours ahead, and even then the timing would be suspect.
Accuweather is pretty good up to then, but their 15-day forecast changes nearly every day.
Only sure thing is the Met Office rainfall radar, cos it shows you where it's actually raining in 30 minute intervals - it's the modern version of looking out of the window for clouds......

If Whit Friday is as cold and wet as last year I doubt I'll want to go again next year!

8loody caravan was rocking in the wind last year............ When i saw the first flash of lightening and heard the thunder about 4-45 i thought I'm glad i'm in this caravan :)

Fingers crossed for a beautiful evening on the 28th

    :)

    ...one for the diary:
Whit Friday 2011 is 17th June. Which is about as close to mid-summer's day as you will get it.

Sunset 2120, and hopefully a hot summers day too.

Hmm...More rain...more cover......more of a reason to stay in the pub a bit longer between villages ;)

Anyway no such thing as bad weather as long as your dressed for it! (unless you play a 'bell up' instrument )

I felt reall sorry for all the bass players and euph players last year. All that extra weight of water must have made life very difficult. I'm surprised we didn't have renditions of Yellow Submarine. I hope the weather's much better, too.

I've been, by my reckoning, thirteen times in the last seventeen years. I've got wet once...
