    Surprised!

    No Fodens? No President?

You're not putting the winning performance on the CD then?

Phil, as my message said, I've read real difficulties in posting the track list on tMP due to freezing computer screens. Last night I was editing the post line by line but then gave up as I wanted to listen to Sibelius 2 at the Proms on Radio 3!

I'll have another go at completing the track list shortly but, rest assured, The President played by Foden's is on the list as is Viva Pettee from Brindle.

Carl: can you PM me with the correct list and I will ammend this post to reflect that. Unsure as to why you are unable to do this...?

EDIT: Track list fully updated with and accurate entries.

I thought that in the previous CDs of Delph, the first 6 places were on the CD along with a selection of other performances. This year it seems (from my memory of the results) that the 1st, 3rd & 4th places are on but no performance from the 2nd placed band (Hepworth). It would be a bit more understandable if Hepworths march was already on by another band (The Wizard) but it isn´t.

So why aren´t Hepworth on the CD, they beat both Dyke and YBS, and as a player on that performance I was looking forward to buying the CD to hear it. I won´t bother now.

    Martin Irwin.
    Hepworth.

    I've no idea.
It is not us that decides the content of the Whit Friday CD, I'm afraid.

Heard it and we sound like a real band in places. Considering the preparation time and unfamiliarity it is a great effort. Lower half of the band sound rather good and Chris sounds class. There is a reasonable round of applause at the end. You dont realise how listenable the march is having been concentrating on the notes all day long, an even bigger hoorah to Darrol for an absolute cracker.

    Well done guys :)

Could there have been 'outside interference'? - voices, aeroplanes, dried peas hitting the mikes etc etc - there are lots of possible reasons for a performance judged highly on the day unfortunately having to be dropped from a recording.
