I notice on 4BarsRest that this CD is now out. Does anyone have the track listing yet as it doesn't appear on their website.

The only band to play the Conqueror (Philip Sparke) was Alexander Brass band from Stavanger, Norway so I recon track 9 must be us then....

The March was commisioned by the Band for the occasion and the obvious choice for a composer was our very good friend and honory member Philip Sparke!

BTW - look out for the 3/4 bars!!!

    Here are the names of the bands;

    Black Dyke Band
    Foden's Richardson Band
    Marsden Silver (Ossett Brewery) Band
    Rothwell Temperance Band
    Lindley Band
    Mossley Band
    Roberts Bakery Band
    Alexander Band
    Grange Moor Band
    Bedworth Band
    Regent Brass
    St Sebastian's Wokingham Band
    Salvo Brass
    MG Root Band (Switzerland)
    Emley Band

The CD was not originally due for launch until the Lower Section Nationals Finals (you'll see from the Amazon listing that the release date is 29th September) although the stock has already arrived.

Seeing that we have it on our shop shelves, and other retailers are showing it, I'll get it added to the WoB site very soon.

    Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks. Was this information available to Amazon? Just curious as to why they didn't list it.

Presumably your list is given in the order of the tracks? If so, I'll edit the list above to make one easily viewable list. :)

Our experience is that Amazon only list the information that is presented to them by the labels, they don't have somebody who types it all up for them.
It's actually quite hard to include extra information, like names of bands if there is a different band for each track, as their software throws it out if it doesn't conform to a set format.

    That's correct.

Question to the World of Brass fella...
Do the bands get paid for going on the CD?
