    Round badge sovereign..... pre lottery grant mass production! Just look on here for threads of people seeking them out to refurb as a preference to new instruments.

    Doh! Was talking generally, not re sops....... Schilke? Besson/boosey and hawkes sops seemed to be a bit hit or miss. As is often the case......;)

    Schilke sops are the best, but you pay for it... the Xeno is a good sop also from what I hear and if you get a GOOD Sterling they're alright as well.

    Considering that the International range is labelled intermediate and the Sovereign is professional, there should be no comparision needed. However, go back a few years for the Besson International Cornet, then it does become a matter of choice. I can't remember if the International was ever manufactured with larger than medium bore.
