Gaz Wynne's post linking to THAT Rainbow clip has got me thinking about starting a thread of famous people we never hear of much anymore. So any info most welcome and please feel free to add your own 'Where are they now?' candidates. Mine are (from Rainbow) Geoffrey Hayes (I believe he was driving minicabs for a while not too long ago) Rod, Jane and Freddy Susan Stranks (Magpie) Noel Edmonds Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart Pete Murray Nick Owen (formerly of GMTV) Not having satellite TV, I daresay some of these may be cropping up on some obscure shopping channel or something
Actually, I was thinking of doing something similar with tMP members. I mean, where's Leisa Mallalieu these days? Bruce G?
Well, here's one http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/stewart/ Sooner or later, they all gravitate to radio2
Last I heard Susan Stranks was Founder & Director of AbracaDABra (A childrens radio station). Whatever happened to her fellow Magpie presenter Tony Bastable? and how about Richard O'Sullivan (I've just watched the Dick Turpin series from the 70's now out on DVD).
Russ Abbbott will be appearing as Alf Doolittle in "My Fair Lady" at the Palace Theatre, Manchester in September.
Happy to report BruceG is alive and well and playing at the nationals in Harrogate with Lochgelly Band. Gets the same train into Edinburgh as me every morning. I'll remind him about tMP. I think he's trying to get some patents on some sort of tin can and string phone idea
Dave, Leisa is jsut going into her 2nd year at Hudds studying Music - obviously far too busy socialising to spend much time on tMP - I will say Hi to her from you
Pah! While you've been tucked away on Arran I've been developing an international network of string and cans - looks kinda like a web (I might be on to something here). It's mine all mine I tells ya!!! Though it would only take a mild threat to get you a 50% stake... As JJM said, I'm alive and well - just haven't seemed to be able to find the time to visit tMP for a while. Note to self: must try harder
She's alive and well, and a huuuuuuge fan of the tMP Band: http://www.themouthpiece.com/vb/showthread.php?t=3010
