OK folks, I am sure we've all read and participated in the most embarrassing moments post. As such, we're not afraid to really share things with each other.

But now, inspired by a great movie called Love Actually, I challenge you to share with us the stories of your heart. The good, the bad, and the face-slapping.

Got a pickup line that has only worked once?
Got a sweetheart from way back that you still fondly remember?
Funny marriage anecdotes (for the older generation)?
Had a crush on a boy/gal who still has no idea who you are???

    Share all!!! Or not.......

I did once have a mushy moment, but then I realised I didn't really like peas and reverted to plain old fish and chips...

Shoulda seen this one coming a mile off...........

Many Many years ago I had a fight with my parents over which high school to go to. My mother wanted me to go one with a really good music program. The other school had the same teacher, a smaller band. but one other quality....my first crush.

I got my way, and off to this dirty, sport-focussed high school. I met up with my friends there, including the said girl. She introduced me to some friends from her church. One was a shy, quiet, cute little lass with the sweetest brown eyes you've ever seen.

It took me 5 years before I worked up the guts to tell her, which also gave time for my feelings to grow stronger and stronger. Unliek that other girl, this was no crush. Unfortunately, by the time those 5 years were up, so was High school. On the last day, I fought hard with myself, trying to work out what to say or do. Finally, I just blurted it out ........."I think I love you Elizabeth!"

She smiled, blushed, leaned over and and said "Took you long enough" and kissed me.

    Happy?

thanks aidan, ruin my lovely romantic moment why don't you!

I also got texts from an ex boyfriend that were quotes from topgun...how extremely corny and unoriginal.

    Chris' story is so sweet!

There were some really romantic lines in that film weren't there:

    Goose: Jester's dead. Yee Haw!

Goose: The Defense Department regrets to inform you that your sons are dead because they were stupid.

Maverick: I think I'll go embarrass myself with Goose

    :?

yeah the obvious romantic choice would be:

'I'll have you flying cargo planes full of rubber dog poo(more 'elaborate' word inserted there in film) out of Hong Kong'

but unfortunately it was that really naff one:

    'Hey Goose you big stud........'
